There are many different water storage options to choose from, not to mentions brands. The best thing to do would be to figure out what suites your needs and your space. Space is one of the biggest problems I think.
You also need to choose between a ‘wet’ system or a ‘dry’system. This website should help:
http://www.rainharvesting.com
and

Good Luck!
grundfos or onga (australian made) are both good pumps but for reliability grundfos, most or all household pumps come out with an electronic pressure switch. and all that is required to change from tank to mains is the water switch
depending on where you are councils by law require a water switch to be installed to prevent back flow into the mains system
also with the choice of pump look for a multistage pump not a jet pump as the jet pump are very noisy when it is drawn into the chamber under vacuum. the multistage pumps build up pressure through a series of chambers impellors etc and very minimal noise is created.
good luck with your choice check out onga.com.au under the home water pumps smhp pumps are mulitstage to give you an idea
good luck
